The stop is part of her North American Monster Ball Tour. Tickets go on pre-sale through several outlets including Citibank and Virgin Mobile on Tuesday, September 28.
They’re available at just two price points: $49.50 and $175, plus “convenience fees.” The general public can purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, minus the fees charged on websites.
Due to the anticipated popularity of the show, the Qwest Center will hold a lottery-style drawing to determine buyers’ place in line. Those who want to purchase tickets should be at the Qwest Center by 9:30 a.m.
The 24-year-old has catapulted to the top of the charts over the past couple of years with hits like “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” and Just Dance.
Katherine Neary is a big fan of the music. "Oh yeah, yeah. Don't ask my roommates about it,” she laughed. “I keep them up at all hours of the night."
It's not just the star's voice, but her vivid style, said Neary. "She's a consummate clothing person, to showcase amazing designers and talents."
Neary dressed like Lady Gaga for the local Groundhog Ball, and now she’s bringing some of that style to Ralston Costume, So. 84th & Madison Street, where she is a relatively new manager.
"We've put together a seasonal section for Halloween that comes with Lady Gaga pieces, or Lady Gaga-esque pieces,” she said. She expects there will be a lot of interest in the costumes this year.
"She just is a stand-out, so I think a lot of people will be wanting to have the fun of dressing up the way she dresses up."
At a Today Show appearance this summer, the singer showed she's ga-ga over more than clothes, singing about her “cool Nebraska guy.”
That guy, her boyfriend Luc Carl, lives in New York now. But he is from Springfield and graduated from Platteview High School.
"Yeah, I thought it was surprising, him being connected with a big star,” said former neighbor Steve Stark. He said Carl’s parents still live in the area.
Stark admits he’s not familiar with Lady Gaga’s music, but he’s glad she’s shined a spotlight on the small town. "That's big news here in Springfield, a town of 1500. That's big news."
There’s no word on if the local tie was a factor in the Omaha tour date.
"I would love to go to the show," said Neary. She’s not sure if she’ll be able to get her hands on tickets. It’s expected to sell-out.
